This ensemble is selected by the director and includes second- and third-year women. In its third year of existence, the ensemble has developed and matured in sound. This class was developed as a way to advance and challenge high-achieving students in choir. Students are encouraged to participate in all-state, all-county and solo and ensemble.
Amber Turcott
Tarpon Springs Middle School
Choral Director
Amber Turcott began her tenure at Tarpon Springs Middle School in 2003. Since that time, she has created additional ensembles, including a men’s choir, a show choir and a select women’s chamber choir. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where she earned master’s degrees in both vocal music education and vocal performance. She has been a member of the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay. She is an active member of FMEA and has served as the FVA district chairwoman and Pinellas County all-county middle school choir coordinator. She was a GRAMMY® Music Educator Award quarterfinalist and was featured in Who’s Who Among American Women.
