Veteran educator and author Denise Eaton will demonstrate her approach to implementing three essential ingredients to beautiful choral performances: tone production, unified vowel formation and expressive text treatment. Using the complimentary music packet provided, she will also illustrate how sequential skill building throughout the year is possible with intentional repertoire selection.

Denise R. Eaton taught secondary choral music for 29 years, and received a Bachelor of Music degree in education with emphasis in piano and voice from the University of Texas at Austin. An active clinician, she has conducted over 20 Texas All-Region choirs, among others. She currently serves as adjunct professor of Secondary Methods and conducts the Women's Choir at Sam Houston State University. Mrs. Eaton has presented numerous workshops and clinics for TMEA regions and school districts in Texas and Georgia, and for TCDA and TMEA conventions.
