The Stetson University Concert Choir is a highly select 56-voice SATB choral ensemble. It is comprised of exclusively upper-class music majors and students pursuing a variety of degrees from across Stetson’s beautiful campus. The choir performs and tours with repertoire selected from sacred and secular choral genres, numerous languages, and world cultures. They recently were invited to sing for 2014 Florida ACDA Conference and the 2017 National ACDA Conference in Minneapolis, MN.

Dr. Timothy L. Peter

Director of Choral Activities

Timothy Peter is Director of Choral Activities at Stetson University located in DeLand, Florida. He is a native of Minnesota, received his undergraduate degree from Luther College and completed his doctorate of musical arts degree at the University of Arizona. Before coming to Stetson University in 2012, he was Professor of Music at Luther College and served as the head of the music department. He leads the choral program at Stetson involving more than 250 singers in four ensembles. He is active in FMEA, FVA, and ACDA. and conducts choral festivals and all-state choruses throughout the United States and has conducted in nine countries abroad.
