The UCF Jazz Professors are Jeff Rupert (sax), Marty Morell (drums), Richard Drexler (bass), Per Danielsson (piano), Bobby Koelble (guitar), and UCF Artist in Residence, Dan Miller (trumpet). Recording credits include "Live at the UCF Orlando Jazz Festival", "Do that Again", and "The Jazz professors play Monet". All albums charted in the top 50 of the national jazz charts. "Do That Again" was # 39 out of the top 100 albums of 2015.

Jeff M. Rupert

Jeff Rupert’s credits includes tours and albums with Mel Tormé, Ernestine Anderson, and Benny Carter’s Grammy winning Harlem Renaissance. Rupert toured for 15 years with Sam Rivers; 4 albums ensued. He toured and recorded with Maynard Ferguson for 5 years. Performance venues include the Blue Note, Birdland, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Tokyo Forum, the National concert hall of Taipei, festivals in Europe, Israel, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Rupert’s release Imagination with Richard Drexler debuted at #16 on the CMJ and RMR jazz charts. Rupert is Pegasus Professor, Trustee Endowed Chair, Director of Jazz Studies at UCF and founded Flying Horse Records.
