Performing music from all style periods is important, but it can be intimidating! In this session, we'll examine pedagogical concepts that Renaissance music is especially well suited to teach, identify the performance practice elements that are practical and important, look at resources for finding quality Renaissance editions (including CPDL and IMSLP!), and apply these concepts with a reading packet of Renaissance pieces for all age groups from K-20+.
