The best music teachers can teach one idea 100 ways rather than 100 ideas one way. This session will introduce Keetman’s rhythmic building blocks through a series of singing, playing and moving activities and discuss how differentiated instruction can enhance all students' musical learning experiences.

Dr. Sandra M. Adorno  

Florida International University
Assistant Prof. Music Education

Dr. Sandra Sanchez Adorno is an assistant professor of music education at Florida International University. A native of Florida, she holds degrees in music education from the University of Florida (B.A.) and the University of Miami (M.M., Ph.D.). Sandra is certified in Smithsonian Folkways World Music Pedagogy and Orff Levels I-III from the San Francisco International Orff Course and has attended intensive workshops in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Modern Band.
Dr. Adorno has worked as a general music teacher for Palm Beach County Schools, Frost Music Reach, and the Stetson University Community School of Music and continues to serve as a clinician for in-service and pre-service music educators around the country. She has presented at national and international conferences including the International Conference on Musical Cultures and the American Orff Schulwerk Association National Conference. Sandra serves on the editorial board for The Orff Echo and is published in Reverberations.
