Do you struggle with getting your students to sing? Do you feel like they don't like it when they do? In this Kodály inspired session, you will learn how to connect with your students while joyfully discovering musical literacy. You'll leave with a packet full of songs, games, and visuals to use in your classroom!
Kimberly Haggard
Quest Elementary
Music Teacher
Kimberly Haggard currently teaches Music at Quest Elementary in Melbourne, FL. Kimberly recently completed her Kodály certification at Indiana University. She is certified in First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege Levels One and Two. She has completed Orff Levels One and Two, as well as World Music Drumming Level One. She was chosen as the 2013 Teacher of the Year at Fairglen Elementary. Kimberly has presented many times for the music teachers in Brevard County. She has received scholarships from different organizations for professional development including the Organization of American Kodály Educators, Alpha Delta Kappa, the National Educators Association, the Brevard Federation of Teachers, and the Central Florida Orff Chapter. She holds a Masters Degree in Music Education from the University of Florida and a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Stetson University.
