James Mader

Parkway Middle School
General Music Teacher

James Mader was selected as one of twenty music teachers from the United States and Canada to pilot Will Schmid's WORLD MUSIC DRUMMING CURRICULUM. James has also included guitar, African xylophone and Caribbean Steel Pan to the curriculum. He teaches 265+ students in utilizing the World Music Drumming Curriculum to raise student?s academics and self-esteem. He has conducted or assisted in clinics, residencies, and workshops in over 27 states. James has presented at many state music educators conferences and the National Association for Music Educators conference. James has presented to many local and state Orff chapters, as well as the National Orff Association Conference. James has authored numerous pieces of drum and xylophone ensembles that music teachers across the nation have found instrumental in developing the learning skills and test taking skills of their student ensembles through the academic study of music.
