Using recorders as the composition tool, students can create complex recorder pieces suitable for classroom or performances. Using Orff Schulwerk primary source materials, ostinato and canon, participants will discover how to facilitate your classroom so students become their own composers.

Elementary Music Teacher
Jennifer Donovan teaches at Clear Creek Elementary School in Shawnee, Kansas. A past president of the Kansas Orff Chapter, she has served AOSA as a Region Representative, Treasurer, and National Conference Chair for the 2016 and 2022 AOSA Professional Development Conferences. Jennifer served on the 2009 and 2018 Kansas Teacher of the Year teams. She teaches Orff Level 1 Pedagogy at Baker University and University of Nevada Las Vegas.
